Tai Chi Figure of the Year 2009
. . .and the Winner is . . . . . .Narelle Wilson!
During the celebrations for the Lunar (Chinese) New Year at Merrylands RSL Club, the winner of the Tai Chi Figure of the year was announced.
This year saw three awards presented
· Maria Iannitelli — for the best achiever in practising Tai Chi
· Michael Larkin — as the credit exponent of Tai Chi
· Narelle Wilson — as the outstanding exponent of Tai Chi
Maria has been practising Tai Chi for a few years now, and has been able to reach a level of relaxation that is quite remarkable. Along with many other students, she took part in the Tai Chi demonstration and in the video for Tai Chi for Relaxation.
Michael, too, has been practising Tai Chi for some years and has been supporting TCFA at many functions, such as the NSW Cancer Council Relay for Life in Concord. He has said on many occasions that Tai Chi has helped him to remain calm and so make better business decisions. Very important for a senior manager!
Narelle was one of the first to join the class at Merrylands RSL and has stuck with it! She is one of the "Quiet Achievers" who, like so many other students, is only too willing to help others. The award was presented to Narelle, by the out-going Tai Chi Figure of the Year, David Miller. David can be confident that the award is in good hands!
